Assisted full planche push-up with resistance band
  • Place a resistance band above you and rest it on your hips to offload part of your body weight. Get into a full planche with your hands on the floor or on mini parallettes, elbows locked, and scapulae protracted, keeping your body parallel to the ground. Keep your hips aligned with your shoulders and ankles, with a slight posterior pelvic tilt and even tension throughout your core.
  • From that position, bend your elbows in a controlled manner to lower your body as a unit, without losing the forward lean or body alignment. Then push the ground and extend your elbows to return to the starting position, keeping your shoulders in front of your hands throughout the movement.
  • Complete each rep with control and let the band assist you only without altering your technique. Adjust the assistance so you can move through the full range of motion without collapsing your shoulders at any point.
